09 Sep New Poll Shows Momentum for Campaign to Unseat Arpaio
In response to new polling reported this morning that shows a majority of voters view Sheriff Arpaio, Trump’s border wall, and the politics of mass deportation unfavorably, Maria Rodriguez, an organizer with the Bazta Arpaio campaign issued the following statement:
“The majority of Maricopa County voters have had enough of toxic Sheriff Arpaio. People are seeing through his tough self-image to see the reckless, abusive, and divisive person he is and deciding that he has no place in office. We’re ready for a new day in Arizona. It starts with removing Arpaio from office and then undoing the damage he has created with his department.”
The Bazta Arpaio campaign is an Arizona response by People United for Justice to Arpaio’s abusive and racist policing. “Ya Basta” in Spanish means “Enough!” spelled here with “AZ” for Arizona.
People United for Justice is a 501c4 organization whose mission is police accountability and criminal justice reform.
